Jaguar’s history begins in 1922 with the foundation of Swallow Sidecars. Initially specialising in the construction of elegant motorcycle sidecars, the British brand quickly expanded its business to car bodies. The brand’s modern designs stood out and were soon in demand by more and more vehicle manufacturers. Before long, the company became a major brand and in 1945 adopted the name Jaguar (which had previously only been the name of one of its models).
Since then, Jaguar continues to develop and produce sophisticated, superior luxury cars, which have become a permanent fixture among Britain’s most iconic car brands. Since 1951, Jaguar Cars Ltd (today Jaguar Land Rover Ltd.) has been a purveyor to the British Royal Family, and is currently the only car manufacturer allowed to bear all three royal coats of arms, the “Royal Warrants”, simultaneously.

The premium cars, and particularly sports cars, that Jaguar is known for bring not only exceptional performance but also high-end luxury and design to the road. Years ago, the wildcat made a leap into the fashion world, as Jaguar transferred the sporty and elegant style of their cars to their eyewear collection, including both sunglasses and prescription glasses. Adapting designs from their sports cars to their sunglasses has made them stand out from the crowd, just like racing cars differ from bicycles. Design elements inspired by the car’s interior, colour schemes and technical equipment can be found throughout the eyewear collection.
The workmanship of the unpretentious yet innovative frames is next level. Jaguar eyewear’s designs incorporate not only specific details from the cars, but also the spirit of the brand, whose legend lives on in all of their eyewear models. In doing so, the brand manages to convey its philosophy through all its glasses styles. Retro looks and modern shapes reflect British style in equal measure. With its timeless style, the Jaguar Eyewear 33711 combines vintage and modern aspects and even makes its wearers feel royal.
Also in the race for a place on the design podium are the Jaguar Glasses 33833. With a frame reminiscent of the pilot style, they belong in every aeroplane cockpit. Their colours are inspired by previous Jaguar racing cars, which have caused a sensation on many race tracks throughout their legendary history. Jaguar’s high-quality workmanship always ensures that the brand’s name is highly regarded and their products are only spoken of in the highest terms.
No less popular are the sunglasses from Jaguar, which entirely match Jaguar prescription frames in terms of sportiness. In order to provide maximum comfort even when cornering at high speeds, the frames are made of the engineered material polyetherimide, which makes them up to 45% lighter than conventional acetate frames without sacrificing dimensional stability or flexibility. Jaguar Eyewear sunglasses also feature polarised lenses that reduce glare and reflections, even in extremely bright light conditions. For example, the Jaguar 37586 sunglasses are a perfect companion when you are dazzled by other car roofs or wet, reflective roads on a summer drive.
If the extravagant shape of this model is too bold for you, you can of course also choose from classic sunglasses by Jaguar. For those who prefer more subtle luxury, the Jaguar 37614 is particularly suitable. These square sunglasses are understated and yet sophisticated. In all black, they are perfect for those who are looking for an accessory that is both far from commonplace and still goes with everything. As a recognisable feature, the resin-coated Jaguar logo is embedded at the end of the temple, adding a special touch to the minimalist design.
