Edel-Optics turns stars into eyewear designers

SEE AND BE SEEN: The Edel-Optics motto is both a statement and a way of life. Because the right glasses not only help you see better, they are also the perfect complement to your look. So it is only logical to bring style icons on board who share and live exactly this vision. It all started in 2016 with footballer and trendsetter Jérôme Boateng. In the meantime, several other stars have joined Edel-Optics with their own designer brand and trendy fashion pieces – so far, the focus is on our home market of Germany, but international celebrities are soon to follow.

The collections include both sunglasses and prescription eyewear, designed in close collaboration with our celebrities and produced and presented exclusively by Edel-Optics.

 

Jérôme Boateng

Jérôme Boateng is one of the best defenders in the world. When it comes to his style, the 2014 World Cup winner is just as uncompromising as he is on the pitch. Not for nothing was he named “Best Dressed Man 2015” by GQ magazine. Since 2016, the Bayern star has been incorporating his fashion expertise into the JB by Jérôme Boateng brand. The collections reflect Boateng’s passion for music, fashion and sneakers as well as his stylistic versatility: whether in a tailored suit or an urban street look – Jérôme Boateng always appears authentic and consistently defines his eyewear as key elements of his looks. Sylvie Meis

She calls more than 500 different pairs of glasses her own – but it would be wrong to pigeonhole Sylvie Meis because of her love of fashion. Guido Maria Kretschmer

Guido Maria Kretschmer is an indispensable part of the German style scene. Thanks to his open manner, the Münster-born designer has achieved such a high level of popularity that practically everything he starts is crowned with success. He is a star designer, TV icon, best-selling author, designs fashion, jewellery and furniture – and since 2019, together with Edel-Optics, also prescription glasses and sunglasses. Guido Maria Kretschmer also relies on his fashion mantra here: every woman and also every man can wear anything, you just have to pay attention to how you combine it. The models in the GMK line captivate with timeless but never boring design – just as you would expect from the “Shopping Queen” cult host.

Dieter Bohlen

Over 160 million records sold, more than 50 number one hits worldwide – Dieter Bohlen is without question a real pop titan. The man with the prominent chin sang his way into the world’s ear canals in the 80s with Modern Talking. Today he is no longer just a singer and songwriter, but also a successful producer, influencer, DSDS cult judge and trendsetter. The TV star is known for his unwavering and uncompromising style – together with Edel-Optics, he has also been implementing this in his own eyewear line since 2019. The Dieter Editions range from dominant full-rim models to striking browline pieces to classic aviator styles – often with fully mirrored lenses, as Bohlen himself prefers to wear them.
