David Jackson aka Dee Jaxon is a content creator, model and coach from Hamburg, Germany. At first glance, it’s easy to see he’s in top shape, but that doesn’t just refer to his physical fitness, but above all to his sense of style. Dee likes to experiment with clothing styles, loves fashion and has a big weakness for sunglasses. We asked the 31-year-old for an eyewear style check.
Dee, tell us about your very first pair of glasses – how old were you then?
I actually always had quite good vision until I was about 25 years old, when suddenly I developed a little farsightedness. This is when I wore glasses for the first time due to a visual impairment. I bought my first – and certainly not my last – pair of blue light glasses about two years ago.
Which glasses are currently your favourite?
I have a few faves. But if I really have to choose, it’s probably the Oakley Radar EV Path, which I’ve worn outdoors for sports all summer, and the Gucci GG 0010S, which has accompanied me on every trip for over three years, because it’s absolutely timeless and goes with every look. A perfect all-rounder that I will continue to wear for many years to come.

What should you look out for so that your glasses and your personal style match?
I think “the proof of the pudding is in the eating” fits quite well here! You really have to dare to try something, because there is now a lot of choice. If you never try on a certain model, you never know 100% if it won’t suit you. Often, a pair of glasses looks completely different with a certain outfit. In the end, the only thing that matters is that you feel comfortable.
How many pairs of glasses or sunglasses do you own?
Good question! I guess about 15 to 20, but I’m also a big fan of sunglasses. I collect them, so to speak… On the one hand, of course, mainly because of the eye protection, but on the other hand, they also serve as a stylish accessory to round off an outfit. Whether in the mountains while hiking or snowboarding, at an evening event on the red carpet, while doing sports or strolling through the city – you can always wear sunglasses!
Who do you think is the coolest glasses wearer of all time?
Here I immediately think of Stevie Wonder, who as a blind musician also revolutionised sunglasses as accessories somehow. I read in an interview that although it was his trademark, he also wanted to inspire people with cool glasses in various shapes and sizes. He succeeded, I would say.
