The first World Cup took place in Uruguay in 1930. At the beginning, the FIFA had a hard time inspiring teams to participate. A World Cup qualification, as we know it today, did not exist then, everyone being allowed to participate. After the first World Cup, the entire world took notice of this competition and initial doubts were thrown overboard. Over the years, more and more fans and teams have been won over for the World Cup.
In the meantime, a total of 20 football World Cups have been played. At the top of the teams that have won the world championship title is Brazil with 5 titles, followed by Germany and Italy with 4 titles each. And it remains exciting who will win the title this year. But one thing is sure: the players not only have to cut a fine figure on the pitch…
