Great glasses.

Awesome glasses. Got many different oakleys and right now these are my favorites

Not as dark as was expected but still awesome.

These were the deal of year for me, couldn’t have been more perfect. They are light as sun glass shading goes but have a high reflection from glare, they are easy to see out of and the weight is comparable to others like it and they just look cool on.

Best sport glasses!

Love this one, very stylish, great quality and sun protection. Also fits well on narrow heads.

Great fit

I have a narrow face but these fit great. Love the color. The nose piece is a little oversized and is visible when looking down. A little annoying but does not obscure the view. Not noticeable when looking out through the lenses though. Usual Oakley quality.

Good vision on cloudy and bright days

These are great for me as a road cyclist as they are useful on both cloudy and bright days. I like that there is little to no interference with my line of sight ahead due to frame interference. I feel my vision is accentuated by the way the colors look thru them. A definite safety enhancement.

Good quality, authentic. However, they normally come with an extra nose pad, which this pair didn’t include.

Great fit, great contrast.

Love the way these grip around the ear and even when they’re resting up on the bill of the hat. Really secure feeling and lightweight. Have great contrast and the prism tech makes the green and objects pop in the bright sun. Testing them out in the outfield soon. So far so good for $130!

Sits farther away from face than most Oakleys

I own about 50 pair of sunglasses, just in case 49 pairs break. In seriousness, I like sunglasses. I have about a dozen Oakleys. These are nice when sweating heavily because they sit a bit farther away from face than smaller lenses. I really like for mowing yard, even though they are designed more for biking and running.

Very nice!

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about these. The Oakleys I've tried in the past didn't fit me well or looked kind of ridiculous (I'm not into huge cycling glasses). Also, I've always liked my Ryders glasses with lenses that lighten and darken automatically. They've always worked fast enough that regardless of where I'm riding, I can always see well. I will say that I miss that feature with these Oakleys, but the Oakleys look fantastic and have higher quality optics. They handle bright sun very well, and aren't too bad in darker wooded areas. They fit my face very well (I'm 189cm, 6'2.5\" tall and have a somewhat large head). They're pretty expensive, but I've loved them on every ride.

The nosepiece is much larger than needed!

As others have stated, the nose-piece is waaay larger than needed and obstructs view!Update. Doing a web search for this topic, I found that the Oakley Sutro nose-piece was one recommendation as a much smaller replacement to fit the Encoder. Amazon option is:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C861ZPKC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Another recommendation was to simply trim the area of the nose-piece where it meets the lens. Rather than trim the factory nose-piece, I chose to purchase a direct replacement for the Encoder nose-piece and trim it down.Amazon option:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CQS7CYC5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I found that triming this piece where it meets the lens made the perfect nose-piece replacement.I have the Sutro replacement and original Encoder nose-piece in case I need to make an adjustment, but for now the trimmed Encoder replacement is installed.

Very nice Sunglasses they have good coverage.

I would like to have a little more ventilation. I sweat a lot. The air flow is not that good, but when sweating it does not cause any problem.

Premium price but barely premium feel.

I know you’re paying for the lens technology when it comes to Oakley but Jesus Christ the rubber components along the frame that rest above your ear came misaligned and even after trying to massage the rubber frame components into their intended housing slots, they don’t even fit due to residual rubber material being in the way. The hinges are also plastic and reek of low quality. Do better Oakley.

Some top notch sunglasses

I really wanted some Oakleys. I’m an avid golfer. The sun deflecting/ sun ray absorption is unmatched. These are also one glass so there is no frame in the vision. Really cool technology and design. I wanted some sunglasses that didn’t make everything darker. The ONLY problem with these is that looking through the glasses, there is a red tint, but it’s really not bothersome. You can literally look directly in the suns direction and you don’t even need to squint. These glasses are literally amazing. Not something you wear all day everyday but for sporting purposes they are PHENOMENAL. The look on these are also so stylish on. It’s the new style. I love and would buy more tints if they weren’t so expensive.

Oakley's are always great

These are awesome sunglasses that I could definitely give 5 stars. The nose piece/bridge takes a couple of wears to adjust your vision to, but then its fine after that. Otherwise, these are great!

Mostly, I use these sunglasses while playing beach volleyball.

Solid shades

These are the best riding shades I’ve owned. Super comfortable and high quality. My only gripe is the visibility, which I eventually adjust too while wearing. There is a give and take with extra support around the nose which at first takes an adjustment to get used to when wearing as you see the padding. Didn’t notice it after a while though

considering the Kato X's look very similar, these are great for the price and just overall good glasses. I stand by Oakleys product and these are no different. one thing i would point out is i have a big head and these do fit a little snug and i feel it looks small on my head compared to something like the Sutro's which are a little bigger. maybe its just me but im still gonna wear them regardless cause i love them. If you have a big head like me maybe its something to consider haha. still giving it 5 stars though. Killer shades

My ball player who also runs track wanted a good looking pair of glasses that could keep up with his activities outdoors, he's laid out to catch line drives slid to base, and has run hard to get under fly balls, runs track in the morning Baseball in the afternoon. He likes them alot, says they don't bounce around on his nose, hugs face firm but not to tight. Lenses are great because it's blocks the entire eye socket not to let gleams of light in from the side or as he looks up. He digs them and they look great.

Good for low to medium nose bridges

The way this lens is shaped and designed makes it good for people with low to medium sized nose bridges. With the 3 different sized nose pads that come with the glasses, you will find that perfect fit. This issue that others may have with the nose pads obstructing may have to do with having a high nose bridge and how these glasses are shaped. Having a medium nose bridge myself, I find that using the most narrow nose pad actually fits me well without any obstruction in vision that other may have experienced. Overall I would recommend the Encoder for active and sports applications.

14yr son loves these!! He’s a first baseman and has avoided investing in a pair of good shades until now. He used his bday gift card to purchase these Oakleys and is 100% happy with his purchase even though many of his teammates have the other EV radar style of Oakleys. Zero regrets!

I’m totally satisfied with my experience of edel-optics. Customer service on the phone was excellent and informative. Even helped me cancel my initial order to place it again so I could take advantage of a further discount code. The frame I wanted was a Menrad design and I was concerned because of the recent takeover of Menrad. Edel were very reassuring in the couple of times I spoke with them and sure enough the frame was delivered two days into their quoted delivery window. The product is brand new and comes with a quality hard case.
I can’t fault Edel in the way they have handled my order. Whenever I rang their UK number I always got to speak with someone promptly who was able to answer my queries. This has been a completely opposite experience to some of the reviews posted.
