These glasses are very comfortable and durable - bought them quite a while ago, got my prescription lenses installed and no problem - I don't use them ALL day, every day, but I do use them quite a bit for reading, computer use and looking at texts on my cell -hehehe -Got used to them very fast.Recently got another frames - different brand - just to have a spare, just in case, those are a bit lighter on the sides.

The biggest setback in my 54 years of existence, was when the State DMV mandated I get corrective lenses. Dreading this day - I had no idea what would fit me. However, after trying many brand-name frames(Ralph Lauren, Armani, Ray-Ban, etc...), I finally settled on Oakley's Plank 2.0. Suddenly, the frame gave me a sophisticated, intelligentsia-inspired look that bordered on Hipster and Nerd too. I have never received so many positive comments on my "new look."One day, the 50-something Bozo in me laid my glasses upside-down, while adding oil to my SUV. Like an idiot - I slammed the hood shut, after capping the oil. It did not close. So, I slammed it a second time, when I heard a distinct, "crunch." Big Ooops. Once I re-opened the hood - I saw my glasses flattened at the temple hinges, with really no other collateral damage to the lens or frame body. After a 15-minute resetting of the hinge pins, the Oakley Plank 2.0 was just like new again. I'm absolutely impressed the proprietary, Propionate frame retained it's overall integrity., after a DOUBLE automotive hood slam!I guess you really get what you pay for..

I’m totally satisfied with my experience of edel-optics. Customer service on the phone was excellent and informative. Even helped me cancel my initial order to place it again so I could take advantage of a further discount code. The frame I wanted was a Menrad design and I was concerned because of the recent takeover of Menrad. Edel were very reassuring in the couple of times I spoke with them and sure enough the frame was delivered two days into their quoted delivery window. The product is brand new and comes with a quality hard case.
I can’t fault Edel in the way they have handled my order. Whenever I rang their UK number I always got to speak with someone promptly who was able to answer my queries. This has been a completely opposite experience to some of the reviews posted.

Excellent and efficient service great prices
I’m totally satisfied with my experience of edel-optics. Customer service on the phone was excellent and informative. Even helped me cancel my initial order to place it again so I could take advantage of a further discount code. The frame I wanted was a Menrad design and I was concerned because of the recent takeover of Menrad. Edel were very reassuring in the couple of times I spoke with them and sure enough the frame was delivered two days into their quoted delivery window. The product is brand new and comes with a quality hard case.
I can’t fault Edel in the way they have handled my order. Whenever I rang their UK number I always got to speak with someone promptly who was able to answer my queries. This has been a completely opposite experience to some of the reviews posted.
