Great glasses that do improve your fishing

These are great glasses. First they look great, very reminiscent of the RayBans of the 80s, my fav. The Chromapop is awesome for fishing. Line, bobber, corkies and anything else, especially in hi-vix/fluorescent colors like yellows, greens, reds and oranges truly get an added "pop". Love these.

I bought these for my wife as she loves Smith for their looks, value and durability. She looks great in them and that makes her happy and if she's happy, I'm happy.

Great glasses, but not the size for me.

I have a Smith Optics Wayward and needed a new one. This seemed like a great option. Glasses look stunning. but the shape and size make it less for me.
1st picture has the Wayward on the left, lowdown on the right and it's significant bigger
2nd picture shows the wayward being more curved, and leave less of an opening on the side compared to the straight frame of the lowdown ( right )

Big sunglasses

I bought these because I have a wide face and need bigger frames so they don't pinch my temples when I put them on.
These fit decently.
I had to adjust them when they arrived but they fit fine now.
They are pretty expensive even when compared to other premium brands being around a 200 dollar price point.
They're my everyday frames though for now.
Tad pricey for what you get in my opinion as they don't even come with a hard case at that price.
Smith could do better.

Don’t sleep on Smith

Chose these from a lineup of the more “popular” brands for fishing and beach days. The lenses were clearer than the competition and allowed me to see through the water more easily when targeting fish inshore. The nose pads sealed the deal. Very comfortable all day on the water. My only negative is that they’re a pain to keep clean in the salt air and sweat.

husbands favorite

My husband absolutely adores these sunglasses. This is actually his third pair! He is particularly fond of the advanced ChromaPop lenses. They are not only lightweight, but also incredibly durable. The delivery was prompt and the product arrived in perfect condition.

Great sunglasses! I’ve owned multiple pair of Smith sunglasses. They’re perfect if you have a big head. I’ve got a large gourd and most brands pinch and give me a headache. Every pair of Smiths I’ve owned have been perfect. Great warranty, also.

Great Sunglasses for a Large Head

I wear a 7 5/8 fitted hat, so I have a pretty large head. These are the only sunglasses I have found that fit comfortably and look nice. They are a bit pricey, but less expensive than Maui Jims or Raybans. Good value for the price.

Colors are rendered quite nicely

True to the name, colors do "pop". Perhaps not as much as the advertising would lead you to think, but the effect is there, and I do like the effect. Overall width is not as much as some other XL sunglasses, but they are definitely bigger than average. I would call them "large", instead of "XL". Just be aware that these sunglasses do not block as much visible light as most other reasonably dark sunglasses. Overall though, I am happy with them.

Fantastic

The chromapop lenses are crystal clear polarized heaven with a touch of added color. The frames are so comfortable for my size 8 head, and I love the wide coverage.

Quality

I’ve enjoyed smith optics in goggles. Here they are in glasses form, style comfort and functionality. XL is a perfect fit for my “one size fits - not me” head. I measure 7 3/4 these fit nicely.

Big glasses for sunny days.

Really big fit for an average size face. I’ll order the regular size next time because there is an inner lens glare from to much peripheral space . Lens are great in the bright sun and bright reflective cloudy days. Not so good in the heavy overcast days. The polarization is good when looking at the sky and ocean.

Great glasses for people with wide faces…

Great glasses for us big heads. I always have trouble finding glasses that fit my wide face, but these do the job. The construction materials are great and they don’t slip off your nose because of a rubber like pad they have.

Great sunglasses

This is my fifth pair... I wear these daily and beat them up; I’m a farmer. They last about a year of sweaty grimy torture on my face, crammed in my pockets, or tossed in a bag. I’ve accidentally run over a pair with my truck (I had to wear them a little crooked until I was due for my new pair!). The lenses hold up with hardly any scratches... oh, and they REALLY make the world more beautiful. No kidding, these lenses make vision better.

Smith Delivers a Perfect Pair

One of my favorite pairs of sunglasses I have ever owned. I live in the Sunshine City and these polarized lenses battle the bright rats on my commute over the Tampa Bay each way into the sun. Also minimizes the glare off the water. I’m considering getting another pair in a different color I like these so much. Smith delivered with a great pair of shades here. Fit is crucial with a very stylish frame. It actually proportionally fits my head size.

As a person with a large head (not ego) I’m so happy to finally have sunglasses that are not trying to kill me. What I mean is that the frame actually fits my head Especially in the width. In the past, the younger version of my-self wanted to get the cool look. But all my previous purchases where glasses that squeezed my brain putting on added pressure on the side of my temple. The XL lens are large enough to block out the light from the side and below. The glasses rest on my face evenly, no pressure on the nose bridge or resting heavily on my facial cheeks. good fit for my head. i wear a 7 3/4 hat for reference and was surprised how well they fit. i've struggled finding sunglasses for a while so while the price may be a little steep for my blood it was actually a good investment considering the peace of mind knowing there is a brand that has options for my big ass head. solid

I like the design but the polarizing effect can give me a mild headache...it’s a bit Ike the effect of 3D glasses when you look at your phone screen.

I’m totally satisfied with my experience of edel-optics. Customer service on the phone was excellent and informative. Even helped me cancel my initial order to place it again so I could take advantage of a further discount code. The frame I wanted was a Menrad design and I was concerned because of the recent takeover of Menrad. Edel were very reassuring in the couple of times I spoke with them and sure enough the frame was delivered two days into their quoted delivery window. The product is brand new and comes with a quality hard case.
I can’t fault Edel in the way they have handled my order. Whenever I rang their UK number I always got to speak with someone promptly who was able to answer my queries. This has been a completely opposite experience to some of the reviews posted.
