These are "PERSOLS" through and through.

The glasses were flawless and the packaging including the case and the microfiber cloth were excellent. I only wish they came with a 60mm or wider lense but other than that, these are excellent Persols. A classic, timeless sunglass design that is super classy looking in appearance.

Likely genuine, more likely refurbished.

While I believe this pair of sunglasses (Cobalto frame, gradient grey lenses) to be genuine Persol, it is most certainly NOT "new" merchandise, and is most likely a refurbished item. The way the box is embarrassingly held together with packing tape is the first clear indication of this.The acetate frames do have the right feel and flexibility, and the lenses pass the "tap" test for glass. Other details like the silver arrow alignment and Meflecto cylinders also check out, but there is clearly something amiss where the temple hinges meet the earstems (see pictures). In addition to the unpolished roughness of the inner curves, it very much has the appearance of the "burn" that certain adhesives can have on plastics, and it won't wash away. There was also some form of chemical residue all over the frame, but it did wash away with mild soap.For the price, I suppose it's a fair tradeoff. You're not going to save $100 on a pair of designer sunglasses without a good reason, and I think "refurbished" helps explain why there are so many satisfied reviews here as well as so many that believe they received fakes.

I’ve been wearing Per Sol’s for over 30 years.
Nothing comes close To the quality of the lenses and the fitment of the frames. I recently sat on my last pair of Per Sol’s I’ve had for over 9 years and was miserable waiting for my new pair to arrive. I live in Southern California and good sunglasses no great glasses are a must. Thanks for providing such a quality classic and timeless look go anywhere pair of sunglasses. Glass lenses is the way to go and green tint is easy on the eyes.

Nothing works like Glass Lenses, Clear and the polarization is very effective. Style is personal and of course I like the look. Quality build is awesome, they feel solid especially the hinges.

I've been wearing Persol's for years now, Best polarized Crystal clear lenses on the market for the price. Make sure your lenses have etched in Persol on the top left corner (when facing the glasses) and Persol P for the polarized lens.

Love Persol!

My friends think I am a snob but I only wear Persol, they are well made, beautiful, functional and strong. I have several pairs, I keep one in the car, and always carry one with me in my briefcase. They are the only sunglasses that really keep the sun out of my eyes and reduce glare, especially when driving, I am far sighted and my eyes are ver sensitive to light, these are perfect for me. Lastly I find they have the most comprehensive sizing options and mine fit perfectly, I never worry about them falling off by accident.

Great fitting sunglasses with extremely high-quality lenses. Bought these for a vacation in Hawaii and they were incredible. I was able to be comfortable and see things in the water that no one else could see. Extremely happy with these and I have owned many different high-end brands.

Person is my favorite

the finish on Person is impeccable. I demand polarized glass lens for optical clarity and durability. This Persol model has the angular style to match a men with a more-angular face.

Great but with minor flaws.

Absolutely lovely glasses, fit and finish are great and the style is classic. Lens clarity is spot on and polarization works just right. These are definitely my favorite glasses from a style standpoint.My complaints are that the bridge is a bit wide and these glasses slide easily down my nose (some nose pads would be useful). Also, the glasses are heavy to the point of mildly reducing the airflow of my nose, kind of like reverse nasal strips. It isn't enough to restrict breathing by any means but I can tell a difference between breathing with them off and on.

I was honestly a little concerned about the authenticity of these glasses since the price is so good (I saw the same pair at a mall retailer for $275). They are completely legit, came in a box with a case, cloth and warranty booklets. The fit perfectly and look great. Highly recommended!

100% Persol

First, and most importantly, these are the REAL thing. Real Persol sunglasses, case, cloth tag...everything! I purchased this exact pair of sunglasses years back while on vacation in S.F. I loved the clarity and style! Had them for over ten years and they were broken in an accident. Couldn't muster up another $250.00 to replace them, but have always wanted another pair. I am excited that they arrived in two days and are 100% Persol!!! (Be aware Persol glasses are sized, these glasses fit me perfectly, but may no fit you. I am 6'4", 200lbs)

Classy, comfortable, and unique is my Persol experience!

I was looking for a set of polarized shades that looked classy, felt comfortable and seemed relatively unique, compared to the ubiquitous Ray-Ban and Oakley, when I came upon the Persol brand. I was first interested in the 2747S, but that felt too snug. The 2803 is a better fit, if you have a broad face - mine would fit within the Oval category per Sunglass Hut. I've had mine for about a month now and so far, satisfied with the build quality and finish too.Packaging contained all relevant material that one would expect out of a high quality Italian product. Shipping was as expected for the shipping mode chosen.Overall, the experience has been pleasant.

Ich habe bisher immer RayBan getragen und wollte jetzt mal eine andere Marke ausprobieren.Die Persol sitzt hervorragend. Ich hatte zuerst etwas Angst, sie könnte zu klein sein, doch dank der flexiblen Bügel sitzt sie wie angegossen. Die Bügel liegen mit einer leichten Spannung an, die man aber kaum spürt. Dafür sitzt die Brille aber auch so gut, dass sie selbst beim laufen oder nach vorne bücken nicht von der Nase fällt.Die Tönung der Brille hat mich am meisten Begeistert. Ich habe sie bei strahlendem Sonnenschein auf und kann ohne Probleme direkt in die Sonne schauen, ohne meine Augen zusammenzukneifen. Aber auch wenn die Sonne untergegangen ist, wird es mit der Brille nicht gleich Stockdunkel.Ist bestimmt nicht meine letzte Persol

Look Sharp

Got my 2803s-9558 and they look great and are polorized which I wasn't sure they would be for this great price considering I first saw these at sunglass hut priced at $255. The only issue I have with them is they slip off your nose from time to time, going to an optician to get them heated to see if that helps them stay on.UPDATE: Got them heated at lenscrafters for free and now they fit great.

I bought these as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend after he tried them on during a trip to New York. He's absolutely in love with these glasses. He raves about them every time he puts them on his face. They were a big hit and have a classic sexy look.

I'm a bigger guy with a large head/face, so I've always struggled to find shades that are comfortable and don't look too small for my face. A few years ago, I found some Polo sunglasses in a similar size and shape that I've loved, but they've started to show some wear.
In my search for replacements, I found these Persols, which, along with their size/shape, are also polarized…which has become a preference for me after purchasing other polarized shades in recent years.
For the money -- considering their quality and reputation -- these are a pretty solid value. I love 'em, and I'll very likely get the black ones soon.

Love the style and quality

My husband tried on these sunglasses in Schipol airport in Amsterdam and loved them, but they cost significantly more than on Amazon. The quality of these sunglasses seems higher than his Prada sunglasses.

I’m totally satisfied with my experience of edel-optics. Customer service on the phone was excellent and informative. Even helped me cancel my initial order to place it again so I could take advantage of a further discount code. The frame I wanted was a Menrad design and I was concerned because of the recent takeover of Menrad. Edel were very reassuring in the couple of times I spoke with them and sure enough the frame was delivered two days into their quoted delivery window. The product is brand new and comes with a quality hard case.
