Perfect Italian Style

I purchased a pair of these several years ago, and they broke during an overzealous hug. I was totally bummed out and couldn't find another pair to replace. Even in Italy over the summer, I couldn't find them. I did a search by happenstance and they popped up so I snatched them up in quick fashion. In particular, I like the gradient lens and that they're rather large, which fit my rather large head.

I love High End Sunglasses

RayBan's, Serengeti's, Porsche and many others and these will not disappoint. Beautiful craftsmanship and very comfortable. Which the Amazon packing or who ever they got them through but the the box was crushed on end but luckily the glasses and case were intact.
They were half price at $200 instead of 400$ so I had to jump. They also look very cool.

No paperwork in the box

I believe they are authentic. These were a replacement pair that I had for years. The only sketchy thing was the packaging. There was no paperwork or cloth wipe that normally would be included. The Persol removable sticker was missing, they may have been a return? Guess that's why they were half the price. The next day they were back to their regular price. So, I'm happy to have them, they are an exact hard to find replacement. I don't wear the packaging anyway.

I’ve been a Persol owner of different models. The quality on this is 100% real. I went as far as to order the same sunglasses from the Persol site that costed $200 more than this were to do a side by side comparison. To my surprise the Persol sunglasses arrived and the legs were uneven and didn’t feel as nice. This that I ordered from Amazon looked better on my face, same quality as the real ones and just a better purchase over all. I returned the sunglasses I got from Persol. Very happy with my purchase!

Second pair of the same glasses

Replaced these, not because they were in any way defective or worn out. These are by far the best sunglasses I've ever owned. I had my first pair for over 5 years and unfortunately lost them. The lenses were in perfect condition without a single scratch and I'm not very nice to my sunglasses. The hinges were still as springy as the ay I bought them. I gladly bought another pair but I hope I keep them forever this time.

This is my sixth pair of Persol sunglasses. I've worn a lot of brands in my life from expensive luxury brands to cheap convenience store brands. Nothing matches the combination of style and quality of Persol. I love these.

Typical well made Persol sunglasses. As with all Persol sunglasses the price is too steep but they are very well made and the look is unmistakable as high end. You get what you pay for! My last pair lasted 5+ years of daily So. Cal use. Buying from eBay you can at least get them for much less than you pay at a store so this was a good deal for them

The glasses I ordered were legit. The glasses are real. As far as the Persol PO3225S Men’s polarized glasses are concerned they were real and you can trust this store to order these glasses from these providers. It’s tricky online shopping for glasses. It’s been my experience, if the price is too good to be true it is. These glasses were offered at about a 40 percent discount than the original glasses found on the persol website. Maybe any more of a discount might be too good to be true. I’m leaving this review because it’s what I would have needed when shopping for glasses. When I buy more I’m probably going to stick to this store.

Simply the very best... in quality, fashion, design.

Persol is mgt absolute favorite glasses company. The quality of these hand made Italian glasses cannot be beat. They exude good taste. The crystal glass lenses are always 100% excellent in clarity & weight.
I always have at least one black & one brown pair sunglasses and I use Persol optical frames for my Rx reading glasses as well - I have others too but Persol is always my favorite. I also have Rayban for sports, but for style, quality, comfort, fashion Persol is my #1 choice. I've been wearing Persol since I was a teenager!

Nice but very wide

Persols are gorgeous glasses, no doubt about it. If you want to look stylish and sophisticated in a Euro sort of way, the easiest thing to do is go get yourself some Persol shades. They are well built and impressive looking without being overtly flashy. These are the real deal and I was super excited to receive them, but ultimately ended up returning them for two reasons:
1) They were simply too big. I have a pretty big head (it's hard for me to find a hat that fits!) and these were still too large for me. They constantly kept sliding down my nose. I think there might be a more narrow version of the 3048s which might fit better - I don't have the model number or width in front of me at the moment but if you're considering these you might want to investigate.
2) I'm a bit of a lens geek and while Persol's grey polarized lenses are nice and clear (as glass lenses generally are), they do nothing in terms of spectral enhancement. This is the idea of cutting certain colors (wavelengths of light) more than others so as to improve contrast and definition. I'm not necessarily criticizing Persol per se for their lack of spectral enhancement - indeed some people may actually prefer a straight up grey lens with no tint. Sometimes I do too. I'm just noting it here. The lack of spectral enhancement was not the reason I returned them, but I mention it here because if I had been super impressed with the way they render the edges of clouds, or make vegetation pop, or increase contrast while driving, I might have invested in the more narrow version of the 3048s. As it is, the frames are too large and the lenses are good but a bit boring, so I'm moving on to something else.

Abgerundet wird die Lieferung schließlich durch das bekannte, lederähnliche schwarze Persol-Hartetui, sowie ein (erfahrungsgemäß gutes) Mikrofaser-Putztuch.
Seit mir mal ein Optiker in meiner Heimatstadt Norden von Ray Ban ab- und zu Persol geraten hat, bin ich davon immer wieder begeistert.

Bought these as a gift for my S.O and he absolutely loves them.

Excellent Choice - Perfect Size

Beautiful piano gloss black frames with crystal green lenses. Only complaint is that there was not a polarized option for this frame color (the matte black frame has polarized lenses). Still, the standard crystal green lenses are pretty nice in their own right.
As a word of caution, these frames from Potato Eyewear looked and felt brand new out of the box, but there's another Amazon fullfilled seller who I ordered a pair of the matte frames from, and the glasses looked like poorly handled floor models. I returned them.
Also, please note - Persols do not by default come with polarized lenses like some other premium sunglass brands. If your heart is set on polarized lenses, make sure the frames you've selected come with them. Polarized lenses may not be available with some frame colors.
Also, having tried the 58mm version of these glasses, I can tell you that the 55mm are big enough, and 58mm are overkill. To put that in perspective, I have a pretty large face and wear a size XL hat.

I saw these glasses at Sunglass Hut but was shocked by the price. I was able to locate the same model on Amazon for half the price. The glasses itself is well made, and comfortable once adjusted(which you can do at home with a hair dryer). The lens are polarized, and the overall weight and feel of the glasses is nice.

I was so happy with a pair of Persol PO 2803S Sunglasses that I recently purchased that I also purchased a pair of Persol PO3048 frames. I had clear prescription lenses put in my pair of Persol PO3048 frames and could not be happier. They look and fit great. These frames are offered by a wide range of sellers via Amazon but I purchased my frames via Amazon from Sunglass Express, who are an authorized dealer. Although some reviewers have complained that they thought they had received what they considered to be bogus knock off Persol frames, from whatever seller they had made the buy from, the frames that I received from Sunglass Express via Amazon were absolutely genuine Persol product with Persol case and so forth. A great pair of frames. RECOMMENDED.

Great product. Always been a fan of Persol's. They last a lifetime if you take care of them. Have a pair with Rx that i use on a daily basis. Price is alot more cheaper than department stores.

Great choice for sunglasses

They're solid frames and I actually love the weight of them. That being said, be careful you don't drop them into water - they sink like a rock. If you don't have much of a bridge on your nose, the combined weight and shape of them cause a bit of a slip down the nose. Otherwise, the polarization is awesome. No complaints!

Fantastic glasses. Frames were slightly bent upon arrival. They are authentic. Includes Persol box, paperwork, authenticating serial number, and carry case with Persol etched lens wipe. Can't argue with the price for the quality. My suggestion is to take them to a Lenscrafters, or equivalent, and have them fitted to you head. I had them readjusted and leveled and now they are perfect. Initially, the frames were crooked. Also, they not fold down evenly. After having them adjusted, which was an easy and FREE process, they fit very well.

Excellent all around sunglasses. They do have a wide frame, so they are perfect for someone with a big head. They are polarized, and the quality of the lens is very good overall - nothing like a Maui Jim lens, but very high quality.

I love these sunglasses. These are the second pair of Persol sunglasses that I've purchased. After a lot of years of paying premium prices, for good sunglasses, I've found a brand that is well worth the price. Most of the time, you're paying for a name. The glasses are ok, but it's really the name. Persol is absolute quality. They're well built. My field of view is as crisp and clean as I could ever ask, while wearing them. I've had the first pair I bought for almost 4 years of every day use, and the lenses are still perfect. I bought these to have more than just black to choose from, and could be happier. As long as Persol continues to make glasses this well, they have a customer for life.

Having always stuck to Raybans these were a departure for me but I wanted a pair of Polarized glasses and did the usual interweb trawl and came across this Italian company. They are far more understated than a pair of Oakleys or Wayfarers, you would pass unnoticed unless someone knew what they were looking at. I like that.
Quality wise these are a hand made product and you can tell, you can see where the bridges were belt sanded and they are just something different from any other glasses I have ever owned or worn. Very comfortable due to the Meflecto hinges in the arms (which you only get with Persol) and the optics are crystal clear. Overall they look like something that will last a lifetime if cared for.In that regard you get a very nice hard case and large cleaning cloth, even the box is high quality.
Overall very happy with these, understated, excellent quality and in a very repetitive World just a little bit different.

I love this style of Persols

I love this style of Persols. And the quality is excellent and authentic of Persols. I unfortunately had to exchange these SOLELY because they are a bit large for me (I wear an XL size flexfit type of hat). But, that being said, if you are the type that likes a bit of stylish oversized sunglasses then these would still be awewsome. I exchanged for a bit smaller size.
Along with the excellent style and quality, I have to give ultimate 5-star props to Amazon as the fulfiller of this item. You would never be able to return sunglasses to a retailer. They made it so easy and even supplied a credit for 1-day ship on the replacement pair that I ordered.
I had never ordered anything 'style' oriented from Amazon and my experience has been above and beyond.

Great for BIG Heads

These frames are GREAT for my BIG head. If you have a wide or big head these are perfect. If you have a thin or small face they will fall off and not work for you. I love the Persol frames and love these glasses.

Excellent and efficient service great prices

I’m totally satisfied with my experience of edel-optics. Customer service on the phone was excellent and informative. Even helped me cancel my initial order to place it again so I could take advantage of a further discount code. The frame I wanted was a Menrad design and I was concerned because of the recent takeover of Menrad. Edel were very reassuring in the couple of times I spoke with them and sure enough the frame was delivered two days into their quoted delivery window. The product is brand new and comes with a quality hard case.
I can’t fault Edel in the way they have handled my order. Whenever I rang their UK number I always got to speak with someone promptly who was able to answer my queries. This has been a completely opposite experience to some of the reviews posted.
