I went for a long time buying nothing sunglasses because I have a terrible habit of not taking care of my sunglasses but someone finally told me that it was time to step up and quit looking like an idiot in dollar store shades. Don't get me wrong we can buy nice cheap sunglasses. There are really good ones but it's cool to have a nice pair and these are a very nice pair of sunglasses.

excellent glasses somewhat overpriced

I usually buy these on sale or return my old ones for a 50$ rebate on a new pair.
they can deform easily but you can bend them back into shape, which is better than breaking. If not preserved in the bag provided or dirt gets into the bag, the lenses will get chipped. I'd invest into a good protection box. the oakley ones are on sale sometimes for ~15$ and that's a good investment.

I own multiple pairs of these glasses. Great in sun, white out snow conditions (gets rid of glare to see the road better). These are my go to glasses!
The interior lens covering can get damaged, so only use soft lens cleaning cloths!

I really like these sunglasses. I would recommend getting the black (not grey) prism lenses. They are a little tight on the head. If you have a larger head the Gauge 8 may be better. They are very similar. The rectangular are a bit smaller and less "in fashion" compared to larger lenses.

Best Oakely Sunglasses I've owned yet

I know, I've heard the negative comments about the move to China and change in craftsmanship, but I honestly think they are on par with any pair I've bought over the past 25 years. The lens quality is excellent. I went from old 90's E Wires to the Whisker to the Square Wires. I will miss the tear drop styling of the old ones from a fashion standpoint, but from a functional standpoint your getting much better coverage and I get much less light in from the edges.
They contour my face perfectly. They do weigh slightly more than the Whisker, 30 grams to 26, but for that 4 grams your getting more lens. The optics in my Black Iridium Polarized lens is crystal clear. Oakley quality is just awesome, my Whiskers still have great optics 9 years after purchase wearing them several times a week. The frames seem very light but sturdy and enough wire bend to contour and bend.
I would highly recommend anyone that liked E wires to give them a try. Maybe they are not for everyone, but they make a great set for driving, sports or just about anything on the beach on a bright sunny day. Maybe too dark for every situation but that's why I have my Maui Jims.

At the very beggar you can notice it is not the great quality it used to be for this brand. Still good enough spending money on this brand. I always loved the polarized because it helps me a lot while driving, and that is still the same.

Delivery met expectations. Product is excellent. But it’s Oakley, you expect it. If you need light weight daily wear sunglasses, this style is for you. Snug fit without stress. You can wear fornhours and not know it. Medium activity wear. If you are planning more extreme activity, I would recommend another style.

Die beste Brille die ich je im Leben hatte. Die Brille vermindert nicht nur die
Intensität der Sonneneinstrahlung und verleiht einen 100% UV-Schutz sondern
verhindert auch Reflexionen die das Auge irritieren könnten. Dadurch kann man
zum Beispiel durch getönte Autoscheiben durchschauen die man mit dem freien Auge nicht
durchsehen könnte. Die Brille funktioniert quasi wie eine Röntgenbrille.
Bei der Abenddämmerung sind die Augen durch den besseren
Schutz auch wesentlich entspannter.

Great look and fit

I have always worn Rayban sunglasses and was looking for something close to my most recent pair and they had been discontinued. After surfing around Amazon and then google for about an hour ( well it was $180 investment and I wanted something that’s gonna last a few years ) I got it down to these. I’m happy I did, the have great style, fit and finish. My concern was the length of the arms and they reach beyond the back of my ears and have just enough tension to stay in place. Visibility is great, they block the sun well and still allow you to appreciate it being a sunny day. My only very minor negative comment is they are a little more mirrored than I was anticipating. My true rating would be 4.5 stars not cheap but worth it!

Perfekte Sonnenbrille

Ich bin schon lange Fan von Oakley Sonnenbrillen, das ist meine 5. Brille dieses Herstellers. Diese benutze ich ausschließlich beim Autofahren. Hier hat sie zwei brauchbare Effekte: 1. Sie reduziert drastisch die Blendwirkung sowohl bei Sonne, als auch bei bewölktem hellen Himmel, ohne dabei zuviel Helligkeit zu nehmen. Das ist vor allem auch in den Morgen- oder Abendstunden bei niedrigstehender Sonne und stark wechselnden Lichtverhältnissen positiv. 2. Durch die Polarisation wird die Kontrastwirkung gesteigert, weil Reflektionen vermindert werden. Bei normalem Licht sieht die Welt dadurch etwas "bunter" aus und bei leichtem Regen oder Nebel sind Dinge etwas klarer zu erkennen. Ausserdem kann man auch bei hellem Licht in die meisten Autos hineinsehen, obwohl deren Scheibe ohne Brille spiegelt. Generell gefällt mir auch die Form der Brille, die sich durch ihre Biegung der Kopfform besser anpasst, als z. B. eine gerade geschnittene RayBan. Dadurch werden die Augen seitlich besser vor Blendwirkung geschützt.

Schöne Brille (Carbon W/ Grey Polar)

Die Brille ist deutlich dunkler, als es auf den Fotos den Anschein hat. Die Gläser (Grey Polar Polarized) sind nicht so dunkel wie die Black Iridium. Das finde ich gerade beim Autofahren sehr angenehm, weil die Blendungen und Reflektionen gefiltert werden, man aber auch mit aufgesetzter Brille durch Tunnel fahren kann.

Es gibt nichts zu meckern...

Fünf Sterne von mir! Oakley ist einfach mein Favorit in Sachen Design und Qualität. Top verarbeitet, und tatsächlich polarisierte Gläser... Für die Preis Liga ist das echt nicht zu toppen! Die Brille spiegelt daher auch von außen und man ist dahinter nur schwer zu erkennen.Ich werde auf jeden Fall bei Oakley bleiben!

Die Brille ist einfach perfekt, tolle Passform, superleicht und angenehm zu tragen. Und der Preis für eine Oakley mit polarisierte Gläser, wirklich Top. Dies ist nun meine fünfte Oakley Sonnenbrille, einmal Oakley immer Oakley.

Lt. Beschreibung sollen die Gläser "grau" sein: Nein.
Farbe ist ganz normal "dunkel" wie es bei einer Sonnenbrille sein soll.
Auch das Gestell auf dem Foto sieht viel heller aus als es in echt ist.

Very nice sunglasses I bought these for my holiday to the Dominican Republic and I must say I was more than happy with them

As with every other pair of Oakley's sunglasses I have owned, these look fantastic and the lense quality is second to none. I have never owned polarized sunglasses before, but it makes a clear, beneficial difference during normal wear; the only downside being that it makes viewing mobile phone screens a little bit peculiar, but it's not intolerable. They fit perfectly and will serve me well on my forthcoming holiday.

Spitzen Sonnenbrille die durch die Roten Farbakzente richtig toll aussieht (natürlich sehr subjektiv). Die polarisierten Gläser sind etwas verspiegelt, auch wenn man bei richtigem Lichteinfall durchsehen kann. Anders als viele andere Oakley Brillen die ich mir angesehen habe, ist diese nicht nur sportlich, sondern auch elegant. Gerade die Gummis auf der Innenseite garantieren einen idealen Halt, so dass die Brille auch bei abrupten Bewegungen nicht von der Nase rutscht.Etwas Schade finde ich, dass die Brille nicht mit einem Etui, sondern nur mit einem dünnen Stoffsäckchen geliefert wird. Zum Schutz dieser doch teureren Sonnenbrille wäre ein Etui durchaus angebracht.Insgesamt: Absolute Kaufempfehlung! (sofernman das Design ansprechend findet)

So far so good. They are heavier than most of the size, feel really well made. The Lens seems to be doing great so far. Nice fit also.

Gute Brille, Photos irreführend

Verarbeitung ist wie von Oakley gewohnt hervorragend, jedoch sind die Fotos irreführend.
Ich habe zuerst die Version "Farbe: Polished Black Glasfarbe: Black Iridium" bestellt jedoch sind die Gläser in Natura stark verspiegelt.
Danach habe ich die Version "Farbe: Carbon Glasfarbe: Grey Polarized", die den Fotos nach kaum getönt erscheinen, bestellt und eigentlich erhalten was ich mir von der ersten erwartet hätte: Eine kaum verspiegelte eher dunkle Sonnenbrille. Angehängtes Foto von "Grey Polarized"

Surprisingly light.

Ordered these for my brother, he needed them for his job, something in a classic style.. He let me try them, they are so lightweight and the rubber grippers by the ears makes them stay put. Very comfortable. They wrap around the eyes nicely. Polarizing is excellent. These glasses have a nice mirror finish too(it was hard to tell in the pictures). He has the tungsten version.

Fits a Fat Head.

I have a fat head. Works fine. That's being said, I haven't been able to pick up any chick while wearing them…probably because I have a fat head…

I'm not a sunglasses expert by any means. I went back and forth for some time before settling for the non-polarized option. But I love these glasses. They are typical high quality Oakley construction. They look great. And they provide wonderful relief from bright sunlight. I got all this at a very reasonable price. I don't know what else I would ask for from a pair of sunglasses!

I ordered these as they were not polarised lenses, this is due to some in car displays, Sat Nav devices or via iPhone the display suffers when using polarised lenses, simply it's a lot darker.They are not bad, I think the clarity is better with Revo sunglasses with polarised lenses for driving.I like them and will use them, for the reason above, I just prefer my other sunglasses.

I love these sunglasses

This is my third pair of Oakleys, and my second pair of Iridiums. The first two set of frames were broken or mangled beyond repair, but don't let that scare you off. I beat the hell out of my sunglasses, so I'm amazed they lasted as long as they did. I wear prescription glasses, so on sunny days, I am constantly switching between my regular glasses and the Oakleys. I keep them in my pocket, and they come on an off 20-30 times a day. And I am an opticians nightmare; a one-hander (I rip my glasses off one-handed and shove them in my pocket with one fluid motion. My Oakleys are prescription glasses as well. I purchased this set as a replacement for a frame that I broke in fight at a train station (I told you I'm tough on these things). So, I my review doesn't really apply to the lenses, as I quickly removed them from the frame and replaced them with my custom prescription lenses. The lenses that came with these frames didn't appear to have all the options that mine do (mirror-finish, stratch-resistant coating, etc...), so I'm not sure if its relevant, but I do absolutely love my lenses. They cut glare and improve visibility on a cloudy Pacific Northwest winter day as well as they do in the blazing sun of the South Pacific (and I've used them in both scenarios). I don't bother with ski goggles; these are better.

I hadn’t heard of Edel-optics prior to this purchase but they offered the best price for the sunglasses I was after and reviews seemed good.
Ordering was simple and I was quite amazed at how quickly the sunglasses reached me in the UK.
They were very well packaged, with no danger of damage.
Once opened, they were exactly as described and in perfect condition.
I really can’t fault the process or the product, so why pay more elsewhere?

Excellent and efficient service great prices

I’m totally satisfied with my experience of edel-optics. Customer service on the phone was excellent and informative. Even helped me cancel my initial order to place it again so I could take advantage of a further discount code. The frame I wanted was a Menrad design and I was concerned because of the recent takeover of Menrad. Edel were very reassuring in the couple of times I spoke with them and sure enough the frame was delivered two days into their quoted delivery window. The product is brand new and comes with a quality hard case.
I can’t fault Edel in the way they have handled my order. Whenever I rang their UK number I always got to speak with someone promptly who was able to answer my queries. This has been a completely opposite experience to some of the reviews posted.
