I am not a huge fan of sunglasses despite being told many times how important it is to wear them (yes, typical guy that doesn’t listen :))!
I have only had one pair of sunglasses that I would actually wear and they were Maui Jim’s that I got many years ago in Hawaii. I’ve been told many times to try Oakley ones but have been hesitant to spend the money knowing I may not wear them much.
Then this opportunity came up and I thought I would give it a shot. These definitely live up to the name and reputation. The glasses are very nice looking and the color is very unique and versatile as they can be worn with anything. The glasses are very comfortable which is rare (for me) and the quality is too notch. I have now worn them a couple of times and they provide great protection yet still provide enough lucidity to see everything clearly.
I now understand the hype with Oakleys and would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for high quality, stylish and functional glasses. Who knows, I may even buy another one so I have a different color! Never thought I would say that about glasses!!
Very comfortable, perfect fit, and finish
This is a really sweet looking pair of sunglasses. They are the coolest looking pair that I've ever worn. These are very well made with tight tolerances. Whatever the frames are made from is many steps above most similar styled sunglasses. They are very lightweight and comfortable to wear. They stay perfectly placed on my head, gently hugging it. They do wrap slightly around. The arms open and close very smoothly. The lenses do a perfect job of keeping bright light and sun out of your eyes. The nice thing about these is you can walk inside and still pretty much see fine while still wearing them. The design on these is nice and funky, and I love them. They come with a basic branded soft carry bag. I'm very satisfied with the whole package and would definitely recommend.

I'm actually surprised at how much I enjoy these. I test A LOT of sunglasses as part of the Vine Voice program with pairs from manufacturers large and small in every price range. I can testify with confidence and certainty that you do get what you pay for with Oakley sunglasses and the Terraforma line is no exception. I opted for the Titanium frame and Prizm Black Polarized lenses in a lens width of 58mm. DO NOTE: the frame is not actual titanium - they are the "O-Matter" thermoplastic just with a "titanium" coloring and shine - which IS very nice to look at. What surprised me the most was how thin, top to bottom, these frames are and even though I can see both above and below them while wearing them, they somehow provide really solid eye protection. During my testing period, I spent an entire day in California's High Desert sunlight, sunburnt the bajeebers out of myself but my eyes never felt dry or tired. Unlike other Oakley frames I've tried, these offer a tremendous amount of breathability around the eyes (open top and bottom) and do not build up heat around the eyes.
The frames are spectacular for folks with larger heads. These are one of the widest pairs I've ever worn, wider even that those large mirrored "cyclist" types, but they don't look like it because of their low-profile design. You certainly don't look like a time-traveling robot that will be back when wearing these (trademark infringement carefully avoided). These are styling, comfortable and effective. The lenses are crystal clear with ZERO distortion (I fail distorted glasses IMMEDIATELY as distortion is dangerous when driving) and the polarization is among, if not THE best I've ever tested. I tried putting myself into positions where glare would be an issue and couldn't find a single instance where I had to squint. And, yes, 11% transmission is DARK... the bright bands at the top and bottom of your vision (very short frame, remember) does take some getting used to, but once your eyes adjust, these are magnificently comfortable.
As always, Oakley is a bit spartan on the accompanying materials - just a soft pouch, page of disclaimers, and a thin box. You WILL get one of the greatest pairs of sunglasses in production but you won't get a bunch of "bonus" materials. Are they worth the money, even without any "niceties"? Hands-down, yes. These are well-suited for most daily activities and comfortable enough for all-day wear. They are stylish enough to make people notice your shades but not to the point that you feel like they are screaming "LOOK AT ME!". These are a solid pair of everyday glasses, versatile in function and incredible in performance.

I have a thing about sunglasses. An expensive thing... unfortunately... but, growing up on the ocean, I've learned the extreme importance of good eyewear. When I saw the Neoforman available in Root Beer, I leapt at the opportunity to add these to my collection and rotation. Now, having worn them for several days, I am happier with them than I thought I would be but I do have some insights I'd like to volunteer.
1) These are some of the greatest lenses available in the market today - not only is the tint level perfect for full-day use without having to park it up in your hair and get the lenses all gross, they are EXCEPTIONALLY clear with a definite enhancement of contrast and clarity - even along the edges of one's peripheral vision. There is ZERO distortion (the "fun-house-effect" is an instant single-star as it can pose a serious danger when driving). Lenses are Oakley's thing and they certainly do not disappoint.
2) The frame is sturdy, lightweight and absolutely gorgeous. The translucent brown is my favorite colors to date and looks good with everything. I'm a big guy with a big head and these fit a LITTLE snug along the sides of my head, and do offer VERY little breathing space between my eyes and the frame, yet, even after a full day in the sun, I didn't find them stifling or causing undue heat buildup on my eyes... the air is getting out somehow.
3) Well, Oakley isn't going to win any awards for presentation, as the only effort that went into that department was putting a protective film over one arm, sliding them into a cheap soft case then tossing them into the box with a page of disclaimers. But, when you make, arguably, the world's best sunglasses, I guess niceties are optional.
FINAL VERDICT: As always, Oakley sunglasses provide superior clarity and eye protection. This particular pair offers a solid, if snug, fit and a unique and beautiful shape and colorway. I find these to be a good value for the money, whether these are an addition to a collection or if shopping for a single pair that will be your daily drivers - these offer GREAT functionality, a VERY specific and unique "look" and aren't weird or trendy screaming "look at me, I'm wearing expensive sunglasses!" (yes, there's a time and place for THOSE too, but these are much "cooler" and functional). If you are in the reviews looking for a reason to go ahead and pull the trigger, do it, you won't be disappointed.
Unique print, kitschy and retro
Cute frames in a unique print that certainly pops. These are definitely statement frames and I like the retro style design. They are classic 90s Oakley shaped, but that also extends to the sides which are fairly uncomfortable and straight around the ears. They are just Oakleys being Oakleys so I should have expected that discomfort. I’d probably want these shaped for comfort. The lenses are fairly opaque from the front, looking through them however they aren’t super dark which is a positive for me. I like the pop of highlights yellow on the logo. These are kitschy and fun, I can see them paired intentionally with outfits rather than an every day pair of sunglasses.

I’m totally satisfied with my experience of edel-optics. Customer service on the phone was excellent and informative. Even helped me cancel my initial order to place it again so I could take advantage of a further discount code. The frame I wanted was a Menrad design and I was concerned because of the recent takeover of Menrad. Edel were very reassuring in the couple of times I spoke with them and sure enough the frame was delivered two days into their quoted delivery window. The product is brand new and comes with a quality hard case.

1) These are some of the greatest lenses available in the market today - not only is the tint level perfect for full-day use without having to park it up in your hair and get the lenses all gross, they are EXCEPTIONALLY clear with a definite enhancement of contrast and clarity - even along the edges of one's peripheral vision. There is ZERO distortion (the "fun-house-effect" is an instant single-star as it can pose a serious danger when driving). Lenses are Oakley's thing and they certainly do not disappoint.
2) The frame is sturdy, lightweight and absolutely gorgeous. The translucent brown is my favorite colors to date and looks good with everything. I'm a big guy with a big head and these fit a LITTLE snug along the sides of my head, and do offer VERY little breathing space between my eyes and the frame, yet, even after a full day in the sun, I didn't find them stifling or causing undue heat buildup on my eyes... the air is getting out somehow.
3) Well, Oakley isn't going to win any awards for presentation, as the only effort that went into that department was putting a protective film over one arm, sliding them into a cheap soft case then tossing them into the box with a page of disclaimers. But, when you make, arguably, the world's best sunglasses, I guess niceties are optional.
FINAL VERDICT: As always, Oakley sunglasses provide superior clarity and eye protection. This particular pair offers a solid, if snug, fit and a unique and beautiful shape and colorway. I find these to be a good value for the money, whether these are an addition to a collection or if shopping for a single pair that will be your daily drivers - these offer GREAT functionality, a VERY specific and unique "look" and aren't weird or trendy screaming "look at me, I'm wearing expensive sunglasses!" (yes, there's a time and place for THOSE too, but these are much "cooler" and functional). If you are in the reviews looking for a reason to go ahead and pull the trigger, do it, you won't be disappointed.
Unique print, kitschy and retro
Cute frames in a unique print that certainly pops. These are definitely statement frames and I like the retro style design. They are classic 90s Oakley shaped, but that also extends to the sides which are fairly uncomfortable and straight around the ears. They are just Oakleys being Oakleys so I should have expected that discomfort. I’d probably want these shaped for comfort. The lenses are fairly opaque from the front, looking through them however they aren’t super dark which is a positive for me. I like the pop of highlights yellow on the logo. These are kitschy and fun, I can see them paired intentionally with outfits rather than an every day pair of sunglasses.

I’m totally satisfied with my experience of edel-optics. Customer service on the phone was excellent and informative. Even helped me cancel my initial order to place it again so I could take advantage of a further discount code. The frame I wanted was a Menrad design and I was concerned because of the recent takeover of Menrad. Edel were very reassuring in the couple of times I spoke with them and sure enough the frame was delivered two days into their quoted delivery window. The product is brand new and comes with a quality hard case.
I can’t fault Edel in the way they have handled my order. Whenever I rang their UK number I always got to speak with someone promptly who was able to answer my queries. This has been a completely opposite experience to some of the reviews posted.
