Presentation lacking

I bought these for a birthday present for my husband as they were on his “wish list”. I’m a little embarrassed to give him almost $300 sunglasses that look like I fought a bum in a dumpster for his present.

My new favorite glasses.

After my style switches broke and apparently it's impossible to find replacement parts I decided it was time for a new pair. After some research I found these and almost bought the base ones not realizing the lens type. I must say it was worth the extra money. The Prizms are awesome and I find me wearing the glasses even when the sun isn't bothering me. My only two complaints and they are minor would be at the edge of the lenses there is a purple/green rainbow effect going on but you can really only see it at the bridge of your nose if you are focused on it there and they don't grip your head very tight so they could tilt off the back of your head if you have the raised.

I drive a tractor trailer 50+ hours a week. I really didn't want to spend this much on sunglasses but, I spend so much time driving, I figured my eyes are worth it. These glasses remove SO much glare that anyone who drives as much as me owes it to themselves.

I am getting used to a bigger lens but overall, I like the styling of this Holbrook Mix frame. I suppose the asian fit is OK, altho I can’t see or tell the difference between this and the regular fit. I got these shades converted into prescription with Oakley glass. Of course you pay extra for the Oakley name but as usual, Oakley quality is tops. It’s why I’ve been wearing Oakley’s for 25 years. Prizm polarized is what I got. I am very satisfied...

It looks fantastic, the down side is the feeling of the plastic part as it feels very cheap (Luckily i got the plastic+metal one).Also it exerts high clamping force on by head, so sometimes its a reliefe to take them off.I got it on a discount so i cannot complain much

I have always bought cheap sunglasses but finally decided to buy Oakleys. I am very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommended this product. I work and play in the sun often and these glasses are amazing. The glasses look and feel well made, I spent more money and got the polarized Prizem lenses, the clarity is unbelievable. I highly recommended that you spend the extra money and get the polarized Prizem lenses. The one surprising thing is that the glasses do not come with a hard case but come with a soft cleaning \"case\" so I am ordering a hard Oakley case to protect my investment. A great product.

Excellent sunglasses with a few flaws that make it difficult to see past. (literally)

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love these sunglasses. I own a number of Oakley's, and while I do understand there are quite a few companies that offer superior sunglasses, I appreciate the fact that many Oakleys are Z87.1 approved.The Holbrook Mixes are my first "fun" sunglasses that I've actually spent a decent amount of money on, so I am sure you could imagine my surprise as I opened the box, unfolded the ear pieces and heard "crunching" or "popping" noises as I gripped the frame around the lenses. It honestly sounded and felt like a cheap pair of sunglasses that the lenses just don't really fit into. I will say however that the "play" in the frame has tightened up (gotten better, less cracking/popping) over the past few weeks, so take this complaint with a grain of salt.My only other complaint is the fact that on very sunny days, I can actually see glare on the back part (closest to my face) of the lenses. The lenses themselves are very clear and I LOVE the Prizm P lenses, however getting glare on the back side of the lenses is a real annoyance.The lenses frame is "Matte Black Tortoise" and I absolutely love the look, during really sunny days the frame really looks nice, as portions of it are translucent and other portions are solid matte black. The ear pieces are comfortable and of course have the standard Oakley "Unobtanium" rubber that does a great job of comfortably (but securely) keeping these glasses on your face.Bottom line? These are a great, fun pair of sunglasses, but don't expect to get a super high quality pair of sunglasses. I would absolutely suggest you try these on in person prior to making a purchase.

Great value for the price. The look and fit is perfect. Mix definitely combines the best of the two styles. I tried on all three at the Oakley store and the mix was definitely the most comfortable. The lenses are not the best but that is more personal opinion than fact. The only imperfection I could find was on the marking on the inside of the frame. One of the letters has more paint on it than it should but it did not smudge and is not noticeable unless it it pointed out. I would definitely purchase again.

Great sunglasses, I've been wearing cheap 7-11 sunglasses for fishing and work and finally decided to get a pair of Oakley's for the quality and clarity. Let me tell you what, everything is so much more clearer and the lenses bring out the color in everything. Fishing with these on is nice because i'm able to see things in the water I wasn't able to before. Will most likely buy a second pair for prescription lenses down the road.

The best shades i own

Prism lens are amazing. Depth and contrast on these are amazing. Can’t say enough about them. Weight feels good. It’s a hybrid so it’s half metal half plastic. Best of both worlds. The metal framed ones too flat looking and the full plastic ones are too flimsy feeling. This has the balance i wanted.

Improved Holbrooks

These were a replacement for a set of polarised standard Holbrooks (on which an arm broke off) & are definitely better. These have the facial comfort of the plastic Holbrook (better than the metal model) with stronger arms that grip your head better than the plastic. Even after having iridium blue polarised lenses, the Prizm colour & clarity was striking upon first putting them on. Great sunnies!

I’m totally satisfied with my experience of edel-optics. Customer service on the phone was excellent and informative. Even helped me cancel my initial order to place it again so I could take advantage of a further discount code. The frame I wanted was a Menrad design and I was concerned because of the recent takeover of Menrad.
