Persol Typewriters are awesome. They are light weight, comfortable, and stylish. The construction quality is superb. They have glass (not plastic) lenses that are polarized and that filter 100% of the UV light. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

These are really sturdy and classic pair of sunglasses, with the iconic Persol 'look'. Like any other pair of glasses, it helps to have an opportunity to try them on to see how they fit. Fortunately, there are a few websites offering a 'virtual mirror', that allows one to see how a specific pair fit one's face. I bike everywhere in NYC, and though these are not designed for sport, and in fact when racing I wear a pair of Maui Jim wraparounds, the polarized lens reduce/eliminate all glare (essential), and the lens cover my eyes more than sufficiently to keep my contact lenses from blowing off. And they are authentic for sure.

Stylish shades and a stand out

First, these persol sunglasses are so stylish and are a definite stand out when worn. The color is a little darker than the stock photos show, but they are still distinct w/ the frame color. I purchased the light brown striped frames w/ green lenses (51mm). These came in w/ all athuentic pacaking and paperwork from the seller.

Love them. I really only like sunglasses with real glass lenses, and Persol makes some of the best. Crystal clear.

Great style

Great shades. I have fair skin with blonde hair and a red beard and they really go well with my ginger coloring. The only thing that is slightly annoying is that the rubber pieces that rest on my nose have a small manufacturing error and there is a sharp "edge" on the rubber on the right side. I'm going to stop by a local optical shop and see if they can heat up the rubber and reshape it. Another thing I don't love is that they don't fold very flat. I like to keep my shades in my shirt breast pocket but with these ones it isn't so easy to do.

Expensive yet well worth the price. I saw these sunglasses and had to have them. Vintage style and color combination with quality craftsmanship. Very light and the optics are super crisp. I own 4 pair of RayBans and the Persol's are far superior in my opinion.

I’m totally satisfied with my experience of edel-optics. Customer service on the phone was excellent and informative. Even helped me cancel my initial order to place it again so I could take advantage of a further discount code. The frame I wanted was a Menrad design and I was concerned because of the recent takeover of Menrad. Edel were very reassuring in the couple of times I spoke with them and sure enough the frame was delivered two days into their quoted delivery window. The product is brand new and comes with a quality hard case.
I can’t fault Edel in the way they have handled my order. Whenever I rang their UK number I always got to speak with someone promptly who was able to answer my queries. This has been a completely opposite experience to some of the reviews posted.
